Search for and recommend mentors from MentorCruise.com through a guided conversation. Describe what you need and get matched with up to 3 mentors, plus a goal statement you can use when reaching out.

What it does:

• Guides you through 2-3 targeted questions to understand your needs
• Searches the MentorCruise mentor database via a REST API
• Enriches results with web research for deeper mentor profiles
• Presents up to 3 mentors with roles, fit explanations, and profile links
• Generates a goal statement you can use when reaching out to mentors
• Retries with alternative keywords when results are sparse
• Tracks shown mentors to avoid repeats when you ask for more

How it works

The skill walks you through a short guided conversation to understand what you're looking for, then calls the MentorCruise search API to find the best matches. No MCP servers, no API keys - just a simple REST endpoint. It translates your needs into optimized search queries with optional filters (location, language, skill, etc.), enriches the top matches with web research, and gives you a personalized recommendation with a goal statement.
